Matthew graduated from Purdue University with a Bachelors in Communications and a Masters in Interpersonal Communications. He also taught at Purdue from 1994-2001.
It was during this time that he met his wife Sarah, who got her degree from Purdue in Landscape Architecture. They were married in 2006, had their first child in November 2010, and they live in Charleston.
Matthew has been an associate minister at the Christian Campus House since 2004.
