What's The 410 Fast?

(Start fasting & praying for Cercady on your own at noon on April 9 and wrap things up together with a 6pm dinner at CCH on April 10.) Join as we fast together, pray, raise awareness, and raise funds for the ongoing work in the community of Cercady, Haiti. Through the organization of 410 Bridge, CCH partners with this community each year through visits to the community, helping to sponsor the education of children there, holding them up in prayers, and raising donations for ongoing projects. Cercady is a rural community in the central hills of the Caribbean island nation. The landscape is vast and picturesque with birds flying through valleys and cattle atop mountains. Though there are several thousand people scattered along winding dirt paths, the rural living lends itself to a close-knit hospitable culture and a safe, secure community. However, this rural setting also brings its own challenges. Some challenges Cercady faces include limited access to clean water for everyone, under-resourced schools, and the lack of a local clinic to address health and medical needs. During the past few years, the community and church leaders we visit in Cercady have been able to secure additional pumps for water, build a block of classrooms for a local primary school, build several outdoor latrines to improve public sanitation, and obtain two plots of land: one for a planned clinic and one whose use is still yet to be determined.
